A) The top of the Damascus barrel is marked "ENI P BAUCHERON A PARIS" and the left rear of the barrel has a "star/R" proof followed by a Liege ELG proof. The frame has an extensive scroll engraved pattern which extends to the folding trigger. A star burst pattern is engraved on the bolster and hammer. The number "1221" is stamped ahead of the trigger. Fitted with a one piece bag shaped smooth ivory grip. The beveled lid, leather covered, gilt embossed case is lined in green velvet and has the following accessories: case key, conical bullet mold/nipple wrench numbered to the gun, ivory powder flask and ivory cap box. The top of the case has a gold highlighted embossed crown over the initials "C.D."

Condition: Very good. The pistol has a bright appearance with some minor pitting near the muzzle. Most of the Damascus pattern remains and the engraving is crisp. Upper tang is broken and has a modern replacement modified screw that keeps the grip secured to the frame. The grip is also very good with a long hairline crack. The ivory has an attractive grain pattern. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with edge wear and some high point wear on the lining. The accessories are fine.

Condition: Very good. The pistol has a bright appearance showing some minor pitting mostly on the barrel. 95% of the Damascus pattern remains and the engraving is crisp. The grip is very good with a crack near the frame, a long hairline crack and shrinkage at the frame. The ivory has an attractive grain pattern. Mechanically excellent.
