A) Floral scroll engraving is featured on the lock plate, hammer, breech plug, barrel tang, spur trigger guard and grip cap. The octagon barrel is rifled. There are no visible markings on the pistol. It has fixed sights. The stock has a single barrel wedge with silver oval escutcheons and a fluted grip area. The case is marked "L. LEFAURE/A PARIS" in gold on the inside of the padded lid. Included are the following accessories: cleaning rod, mallet, brass ramrod, nipple wrench/screwdriver, wooden cap container, wooden wad container, brass bullet mold, powder scoop, powder flask and oiler. The case is lined in royal purple velvet and the top of the lid has a monogrammed brass initial shield.

Condition: Period refinished. The barrel retains most of the dull blue finish. The remaining surfaces have a smooth gray patina with a crisp engraving. The reoiled stock is fine with a couple minor cracks and a few mild handling marks. Mechanically fine. The case is very good with a number of minor handling marks, some chipping and cracking on the veneer and worn lining. The lock face is missing. The ramrod is broken, otherwise the accessories are fine.
