Manufactured in 1970 and later embellished by Master Engraver Denise Thirion. The included noted Colt expert and author R.L. Wilson signed letter on A.A. White Engravers, Inc. letter head confirms that this revolver was engraved by Thirion and was shipped on December 12, 1973 to Swanson Custom Firearms Ltd, Denver, Colorado, with a 7 1/2 inch barrel, .45 caliber and nickel plating. The breech end of the barrel has 2 inch wedges a scroll and punch dot engraving. The scrollwork engraving extends to the sides of the frame, butt, trigger guard and back strap with the top strap having scrollwork flanking the sighting groove at the front and rear. The cylinder has a band of scroll engraving on the rear and a scroll and punch dot engraving on the chambers. Matching numbers on frame, left side of grip straps under the grip and cylinder. The nicely figured grip has a relief carved steer skull on the right side. The Colt factory letter for this revolver is also included and confirms the caliber and barrel length with nickel finish and wood stocks at time of shipment which was on March 2, 1971 to Berns Wholesale Sporting Goods Co., Denver, Colorado, as part of a one gun shipment. The case is lined in velvet and has a cartridge block holding 40 cartridges.

Near mint. Professionally embellished by Master Engraver Denise Thirion. The revolver retains 95% plus of the nickel finish showing areas of slight discoloration and oxidation with some flaking (mostly on the front half of the barrel). The grip is excellent with a small chip missing near the bottom. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with a missing latch and some minor high spot wear on the lining.
