Cased Colt Model 1862 Police percussion revolver, .36 cal., 4-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #44874. This gun is in overall very good condition showing a plum brown patina to barrel andcylinder with traces of case colors on the frame, hammer and loading lever, very good bore, crisp action, good grips with scattered old mars and scratches from carry and storage; period case is overall good to verygood condition with some old scratches and an old crack to the lid on the right back side; interior is good with original lining in the lid and around the bottom edges of case; partitions have been expertly re-lined;accessories include combination screwdriver/nipple wrench, nickel plated brass spread eagle period flask, well-used Colt’s Patent iron bullet mold, extra period percussion nipples and cast conical and round lead balls.
