Case pair of French style percussion dueling/target pistols barrels inlaid in silver and marked “ Canon A Rubans”. The pair measure 17” overall with 10 ½” barrels of approximately .52 caliber rifled. The pistols remain in originalgood to very good condition with considerable original blue and brown on the barrels just starting to fade and age naturally. The locks and mounts were finished in the bright and have been lightly cleaned and show good engraving. The setis half stocked in a good quality wood showing a burl grain and have been lightly refreshed and cleaned with no evidence of sanding. The trigger guards and mounts are a nickel silver with a yellowish cast. The actions are working well onboth pistols and original ramrods are included. The pair are contained within their original to the period velveteen lined fitted French style case which is in very good condition showing just some minor impressions and slight fading. A proper mold is included, patch cutter, ladle for pouring lead, brass pistol flask, mallet, combination tool, rod, pic are also included. One Rod is missing, the exterior of the case is veneered wood and shows a light refinish but is at least in
