Cartridge belt/money belt marked “Perry and McKinley, maker, Miles, Tex.”. The belt measures 3-3/4” in width x nearly 40” in length. The cartridge loops have been replaced during period of use, modernizingthe belt for .30-30 cartridges at about the turn-of-the-century. This is a very early and rare Texas maker and few of his holsters, belts, etc. are known. Formerly Charlie Schreiner collection who had the largestpersonal collection of Texas Ranger items ever assembled. He and his family (grandfather was a Texas Ranger) acquired many artifacts from Rangers directly and from their descendants who often visited thehistoric YO Ranch. Just the type belt a Ranger would have used and many photographs of famous Rangers are published wearing these wide belts. The condition is good with normal aging and period repairs. Est.:$600-$1,200.
