Featured in this lot is a Navajo bear claw squash blossom rare necklace, circa 1970s. The necklace features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver, bear claw, turquoise, and red branch coral cabochon. The necklace features eight total blossoms that show arrangements with sterling silver feathers and branches with oval cut Kingman Turquoise with oval cut red branch coral cabochon set into the face of the blossoms. The central pendant shows a dangle design with double bear claws to the base with similar arrangements and a pendant dangling from the base with Kingman turquoise and red branch coral set into the pendant. The back of the pendant is marked 'Sterling'. Provenance: Collected from David Saity, New York, New York in 1993 for $2,150. This piece was appraised for $3,100 in 2007. The overall condition of this Navajo necklace is good with no obvious signs of damage. The measurement of this necklace from clasp to clasp is 29 1/4" and the central pendant measures 4 3/8" x 2" x 3/4". The collective weight of this necklace is 255.6g.*
