Thomas (Tommy) Singer (born 1940 - May 31, 2014)
He is one of the most regarded silversmiths in Navajo history having created the ‘CHIP INLAY’ an intricate use of turquoise and coral chips integrated in to the silver work. This method made Mr. Singer famous world around in the 60’s. He is known for his overlay work, storyteller pieces, rug patterns and traditional motifs.
This is a beautiful Navajo overlay storyteller cuff, done in sterling silver, with 20/12 K. G. F. overlay. The cuff is signed by the artist and stamped sterling 20 12 K. G. F.. Cuff measures approximately 10 mm or 3/8" wide. Cuff weighs 17 grams, inside cuff circumference 2.5" x 1 7/8", cuff opening is 1". NOTE: we believe this to be Floyd Becenti and the B did not stamp as the C t is identical to his hallmark and he is known for storyteller cuffs and G. F. items.
