C. Williamson Marked Queen Anne Flintlock Pistol
This particular Queen Anne pistol maker has the unusually shaped frizzen spring behind the pan. The position of C. Williamson's maker marking, below this frizzen spring is low on the frame. In addition to the "C * WILLIAMSON" marking, there are three recessed proofs "crown / P", "TH" and "crown / V" directly ahead of the trigger guard. The barrel is tapered with a cannon muzzle and floral engraving at the breech end. The iron trigger guard has a simple engraved design. The grip features silver wire inlays and silver overlays with a grotesque face on the butt.

Condition: Good. The metal surfaces have a smooth dark patina with a few minor dents in the barrel. The grip is good with a small gouge on the upper left side, a few minor dents, about 30% of the wire inlay remaining and the silver overlays have an aged patina. The hammer doesn't hold at full cock and needs work. The markings and engraving are clear.
