C.S. Richmond .58 caliber percussion carbine, 25” barrel, 41-1/4” overall, with type-3 lock markings showing “C.S. Richmond” on the forward portion of the lock, 1863 date behind hammer. The front sight shows properconfiguration. There are no proofs visible on the breech. The stock shows a brass forend cap, steel triggerguard, brass buttplate. The metal surfaces show a smooth brown patina finish with some light pitting in the area of the breech. The stock shows dings, mars, scratches, etc. Consignor notes indicate assembled from period parts. With fabric and leather sling. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
