Featured in this lot is this Red Wing Pottery cream and sugar bowl set with the Lexington Rose pattern circa 1940-55. The Red Wing Stoneware & Pottery Company was originally founded in 1868 by a German immigrant named John Paul. The company’s original name was Philleo Pottery. Over the following years, the name of the company changed until it was finally named Red Wing Stoneware and Pottery in 2013. The company is based out of Red Wing, Minnesota. This set is adorned with hand-painted roses and leaves against a cream background, called the Lexington Rose pattern. The bottom of the pieces read, "Red Wing Pottery / Hand Painted" in faded black paint. The pieces show good condition with no signs of chips or cracks in the pieces. The creamer bowl measures 6 3/4" L x 3" W x 3 1/2" H. The sugar bowl measures a top diameter of 4 3/8", 7 1/8" W x 3 1/4" H.
