Burnside breech loading Civil War carbine, .52 caliber percussion, serial #2969. The carbine remains in original good to very good condition showing 20-30% original blue drifting to brown on the barrel. The frameshows 30-50% case hardening, dulling and drifting to grey with light colors still showing. The tang shows 50% bright blue. Stocks are good with some dings, mars, small losses, and two very visible cartouches atarea of left wrist. The action is tight, bore excellent. Some bright colors where protected.
