Buried Set of Props
2010’s “Buried” is basically a one actor show. An American truck driver, Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) suddenly wakes up and finds that he’s buried alive in a coffin size box. He finds a lighter right away, and then slowly discovers other items in the box: a cell phone, a flashlight, a flask, and at one point, a poisonous snake that slithers out of his pants leg! He is able to actually use the cell phone, and finds out that he’s been kidnapped with a five million dollar ransom on his head. He’s also been buried somewhere in the Iranian desert. Not only is there only one actor in the whole movie, but the entire film takes place in the box. Therefore his hopefully lifesaving props become strong supporting players in this horror story. Here is a set of the three of the actual hero screen used props from the movie: the lighter, the flashlight… and the snake (this is, of course the rubber version used in various shots). Rarely have props had such a starring role in a major motion picture! These are true iconic props from one of the most talked about movies of 2010. The lighter is displayed in a beautiful black custom made Plexiglas display stand, and also comes with a clear Plexiglas display frame with the “Buried” lobby card. (The lighter is approx. 2X1.5”, and its custom stand approx. 2x4”, the flashlight is 7”, and the snake, partly coiled is approx. 24” framed lobby card and stand are approx. 7x5").
