Burgeonet style helmet made by order of Queen Victoria at the Victoria and Albert Museum and showing her seal on the interior. This elaborate helmet shows a six headed hydra and is etched in gold gilded and blued throughout. The work was made to resemble the early armor made for royalty in the 15th to 17th century. Very few helmets of this quality were made in the Victorian era as they were expensive to have a master workman make even over 100 years ago. A visually stunning antique. Est.: $14,000 -$28,000.
