British military style pistol dated 1811 on lock, converted from flintlock to percussion, brass mounts, swivel ramrod. The pistol shows the standing lion on lockplate with small proofs and acceptance stamps, manynumbers at the breech. There is a hammer safety which is numbered 88, as is the breech, rear of barrel and other small parts. The left sideplate shows stamped numbers AB and A64, the stock is stamped 88, the buttcap is stamped GBVH3, the trigger guard is stamped K.U.D.18. The condition is good to very good with a brown patina finish, light to moderate pitting and erosion, good wood stocks with some minor imperfections and onecrack by trigger guard area that is minor. An interesting pistol to research as it has a myriad of issue and re-issue marks. Est.: $350-$700
