British Webley Mk VI Double Action Revolver, with Holster, #362065, .455 cal., 6" flat-sided barrel, blued finish, black plastic checkered grips, blade front sight and fixed "U"-notched rear sight. Lanyard ring is attached to bottom of grip frame. Marked on left-side frame "WEBLEY/MARK VI/PATENTS/1918". Left-side barrel strap with "MARK VI" behind '18 in service stamp and Birmingham proof and view marks. Matching numbers on frame and cylinder. Barrel appears to have matching serial number but is over stamped with "94444". There is an additional #556 stamped on the underside of the barrel. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 70% finish, with patina and frosting around the grip straps, barrel, and right side of frame. The right-side grip has small notches carved into the bottom, and both show scratches, handling marks, and areas of flattening to the checkering. Action locks up, cycles, and ejects smoothly; bore has dark areas that may clean better, otherwise bright with very good rifling. No visible import marks. Brown leather holster has no visible mfgr's markings; a handwritten ink number "1878" is penned inside. A chamois liner has been glued inside to protect the pistol. There are two brass attachments on the rear for mounting to the officer's Sam Brown belt assembly. Condition is good with all straps present. There is cracking to the flap and rear strap. Still pliable, the leather shows scratches, handling marks, and overall darkening. Est.: $800-$1,100. (C&R/PPT)
