British Royal Navy Marked Webley Mark II Double Action Revolver, #51262, .45ACP cal., 4" barrel, blued finish, black plastic checkered grips, blade front sight and fixed "U"-notched rear sight. A round lanyard ring is attached to the bottom of the grip frame. Marked on left-side frame "WEBLEY/MARK II/PATENTS". Left-side barrel strap stamped with final proof mark, War Dept. ownership mark, and Birmingham view mark. "N/2" has been stamped on the rear of the grip frame indicating Royal Navy ownership, and a large "Broad Arrow" has been engraved into the top of the grip strap. Matching numbers on frame, barrel, and cylinder. Revolver has been importer converted to .45 ACP caliber by "shaving" off the rear of the cylinder. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 80% finish, showing small handling marks across the surface. Right-side grip has a chip at the base, otherwise both are good with a few areas of flattening to the checkering. Action locks up, cycles, and extracts smoothly; bore has areas of pitting forward of the lead, otherwise good with good rifling; chambers have dark areas that may clean better, otherwise good.
