Manufactured in 1877 with a loading gate. The top of the barrel has the two line Hartford address, patent marking on the barrel underside, and etched "COLT NEW 41" on the left side of the barrel. "41 C" is stamped on the left side of the frame. Alternating British proofs on the cylinder and two British proof on the barrel. Matching numbers on the barrel, frame, and cylinder.
BBL: 2 1/4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 41 CF
Finish: nickel
Grips: rosewood
Serial Number: 8686
Condition: Very good. The revolver retains 50% original nickel finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The etched panel is weak but legible. The grips are good with a minor chip missing from the left panel at the bottom and a couple small chips missing from both panels near the top, along with some minor pressure dents, dings, and scratches. "361" is marked on the right panel at the top. Action needs work as the cylinder does not rotate properly when action is cycled.
