British Enfield single shot breech loading carbine in the pattern of the 1861 Cavalry carbine, .577 cal., 19” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, brass trigger guard and butt plate, wood stock, #NVSN. This gun is in overall fair to good condition showing scattered areas of erosion and old mars and pitting from carry and storage, good action, dark bore, lockplate dated 1862; stock is overall good with cartouche on right side ofbutt stock and “D.C.” in diamond border on left side of butt stock; ladder rear sight.
