Boy's size Flintlock Kentucky rifle with brass patch box, showing daisy finial in Pennsylvania style. The rifle measures 44" overall with a 28-1/4" barrel of approximately .34 cal. The lock shows asomewhat crude reconversion from percussion back to flint. The stocks have been refinished and show some repairs; the stock is checkered at the wrist and shows silver wire around the tang. The rear sight is aninteresting and well made creation with a fancy elevator. There is no name on the barrel; it shows an old re-blued finish and the ramrod is a modern replacement. The rifle shows double set triggers and ateardrop escutcheon over 1 single screw to hold the lock. The rifle also shows double barrel keys, and we would date it 1820-1830s. Est.: $600-$1,200
