Bonanza lot of over 100 military photos, primarily WW II, mostly from a series by the U.S. Navy entitled “The War’s Greatest Photographs” and covering the War in the Pacific (Pearl Harbor Action, Iwo Jima Action, Okinawa Action, the Surrender of the Japanese, etc.); also many photos of the War in Europe including post-battle scenes, captured prisoners, etc. Also included in this lot is an original softback booklet entitled “Who Me?” that represents the service of Combat Command “R”; story by Richard F. Kahn and drawings by Anthony Dennison (first printing, Ellrich, Germany, 1945) documenting their experiences from training and assignment to the 5th Armored Division; passage over the Atlantic to England; crossing the English Channel and landing at Normandy; movement to Le Mans, on to Falaise Gap, crossing the Seine River, fighting thru Belgium and Luxemburg; being the 1st outfit to breach the Seigfried Line; fighting in the Jurtgen Fortest for 17 days and nights; crossing of the Rhine River; experiencing the end of the War and then returning home. The back page of this booklet is signed by 8 soldiers with their home addresses. A great lot of first hand photos of WW II action
