Bolt-action custom sporting rifle on Winchester pre-64 barreled action in .300 H&H magnum caliber, serial #139732, made in 1950. The rifle is finely stocked in select walnut with Bolt-reinforcements through thereceiver. The rifle shows a folding rear sight, Winchester model 70 hooded front sight, Pentax 2x8 power scope on finger release rail mount. The wood is select walnut with a nice grain picked for strength. Themetal is finely rust blued and the rifle shows a hinged floorplate. Metal pistol grip cap, studs for quick detachable sling swivels. The stock measures 13-1/2” to the end of the wood, 14-1/2” to the end of thepad. Quality of the workmanship is excellent. Action is good, bore also excellent. Although the rifle is unsigned to maker, it is a quality arm throughout and probably made on custom order. The rifle shows slight use, a few marks in the satin finish stock. 98-99% finish.
