Thomas (Tommy) Singer (born 1940 - May 31, 2014)
He is one of the most regarded silversmiths in Navajo history having created the ‘CHIP INLAY’ an intricate use of turquoise and coral chips integrated in to the silver work. This method made Mr. Singer famous world around in the 60’s. He is known for his overlay work, storyteller pieces, rug patterns and traditional motifs.
Zuni Sterling silver bracelet with large oval center, mosaic inlay of a dancing mudhead. Inlay design done in multiple stones, including but not limited to, coral, mother-of-pearl, turquoise, jet and/or onyx. Cuff is 7/8" wide, weighs 36 grams, inside cuff circumference is 2 3/8" x 1 5/8" and cuff opening is 1". Cuff is signed Bev Etsate, Zuni NM NOTE: piece is not stamped with sterling mark, but has been tested and is silver
