For bidding in this lot is a signed Navajo Native American Indian sterling silver, and multi-stone micro mosaic bear pendant or brooch. The bear itself is crafted of sterling silver, and shows the traditional makeup of a Navajo spirit bear. Inlaid into the center of the piece is a micro mosaic, showing a Navajo sunface effigy in the center, flanked by stars. The mosaic is comprised of lapis lazuli, royston turquoise, kingman spiderweb turquoise, blue gem turquoise, onyx, oxblood coral, and silver. The pendant is finished with a decorative hanger, and feather drop. The piece is signed on the back "E. Benally - Sterling" attributing the piece to renowned silversmith Ernest Benally. Ernest has won numerous awards for his fantastic works in silver, and micro mosaics. Overall, the pendant shows good condition, with tightly set stones, and a warm silver patina. The pendant measures 2 1/2" wide, and 2 3/8" tall.
