Belgian Vigneron M2 SMG Display Machine Gun
Belgian Vigneron M2 SMG Display Gun. The Belgian Vigneron M2 Submachine gun was developed as a replacement to the various American and British submachine guns that came into Belgian service after WWII. The M2 version was an update to the M1 pattern and included improvements like a front sight protector and rear sight notch. This specific example was produced in 1953 and has a SN 084899 on the mag well below the “VIG M2” marking, the trigger guard is numbered 093422. Belgian lion can be seen on right side of receiver and “License Vigneron” is seen on the left, grips are marked CMH. Has a dummy receiver but the other parts are all Belgian original. This display gun has front sight protector, rear sight notch, detachable magazine and wire, adjustable stock. Finish is slightly worn and gun is dirty, could use a good cleaning and oiling. Good Condition. From the Michael Clifton collection.
