Beautifully decorated steamer trunk belonging to William Sweeny, Band Director of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and the 101 Ranch where he led the cowboy bands. The trunk is nicely painted with a portrait of Indian onfront, Sweeny's name in block letters, and legend Buffalo Bill's Wild West on top. The trunk contains: a Millers Brothers 101 Ranch hat that is well marked, size 7, 18X in near fine condition; another 101 Ranch hat ofsmaller size, 6X marking, small loss on brim but otherwise near excellent; an embroidered textile with sun sign; a native American doll, early 1900s, possibly made by performer in show as there were many Indianperformers; a pair of child's beaded moccasins with #11 stamped in each sole; a gun belt and holster, 45 loops and 12 gauge, showing 101 mark; a souvenir tin spear point; an old belt and holster rig with brassspots; an old slim jim holster from western period; a Shumaze cutlery cord; a pair of Bloom Brothers infant souvenir mocs with original tag, barely visible Pawnee Bill's Wild West Show; a performer's pair of Indian
