Featured in this lot is a gorgeous Persian tribal wool rug. The rug is handcrafted and features intricate fine-woven animal motifs of various colors. Baluchi carpets (also called Baluch or Beluchi carpets) are handmade carpets originally made by Baluch nomads, living near the border between Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. These nomads also occur in a smaller scale in Bahrain and in the Punjab province of India. The rug is in very good condition. Measurements: 59" x 35". Rugs of this same high detail and vegetable dye hand spun quality and size typically are valued at over $3,000 to $5,000 in galleries.
