KIDD FAMILY AUCTIONS is as disappointed as you are with how the Liberal Government is handling the implementation of BILL C-71.
Yes…….we knew that more changes regarding firearms was a very real possibility.
Yes…….we had a ‘rough’ plan in place for the day this would happen.
Yes…….our clients (Sellers & Buyers) are our top priority.
BILL C-71 COMES INTO EFFECT ON MAY 18TH. As of today we have no ‘official’ documentation from THE OFFICIALS on how they want us to handle the data they’re requesting. We will continue to watch for it.
Verbally, we’ve been told that no onus is on the seller or buyer and that we should continue to be the platform you use to move firearms. According to an agent with the RCMP no data will be transferred on any long gun. The RCMP will not know what you purchase!!
Currently, when we release any firearm to an individual we have to verify the buyer’s firearms licence. After May 18th that verification will also include the purchasers date of birth and their email address. At which point we will be given a reference number for the verification. That number will be Kidd Family Auctions' responsibility to store for 20 years.
KIDD FAMILY AUCTIONS will act on behalf of the Seller to complete the transfer of the firearms that have been consigned by you to us. Bottom line, we will make this work for you.
If you are a Buyer in our upcoming auction we will have no choice but to comply with the C-71 regulation. We will verify PALs, quickly and efficiently via the RCMP on-line portal. We don’t feel this will delay the buyer obtaining the purchased product.
You and I have survived Government upheavals and we’ll do it again. We’ll sort it out and be the middleman for you.

LOW 5% BUYERS PREMIUM. 3% convenience fee will be added for credit card purchases. The bidding platform fee is 5%. The credit card you supplied to iCollector will be charged unless you have provided another method of payment. Your credit card won't be charged until shipping fees are calculated and added to your invoice. We will do our best to process and ship as quickly as possible. The highest bidder shall be the purchaser and the decision of the auctioneer relating to all matters is final. All sales are final and not subject to conditions. All merchandise is sold in an 'as is' condition without recourse to the vendor. All goods advertised or displayed are subject to withdrawal prior to sale within the discretion of the auctioneer. The Auctioneer may reject a bid at his discretion.
TERMS OF PAYMENT: All items purchased by bidders can be paid for with Visa or Mastercard or EMT at the conclusion of the auction. All sales are final with no refunds or exchanges possible.
RESERVES: Some items will be sold with a reserve. Consignors are not authorized to bid on their own items nor have someone bid on their behalf. We reserve the right to withdraw any items or bids by the offending consignor.
PLEASE NOTE: All purchasers of firearms & ammo will require a Firearms Possession License issued by the Chief Firearms Officer of Ontario under the authority of the Firearms Act Statutes of Canada.
All restricted firearms will have their transfer started asap. Transfer by the CFO may take weeks. Purchasers will be contacted upon completion to arrange pick up/delivery/post. All items shipped will be charged on an individual basis, based on weight and size. We ship at cost.
If you are an American bidder please speak with us prior to bidding to discuss import and export expectations. U.S. Bidders have sole responsibility for their purchases.
