Autopsy Woman's Tongue Prop
One of the you-will-never-get-it-out-of-your-mind sequences in the blood-tacular horror fest "Autopsy" (2008 ) is when Emily (Jessica Lowndes) is searching for her boyfriend at a truly creepy hospital, and comes across an abattoir-like room, filled with body parts and copious amounts of splattered blood, all manned by the tattooed attendant, Scott (Robert LaSardo). He is busy sanding fingerprints off severed hands, when he decides to "improve" the skinned head of a woman by pulling out one of her remaining teeth. One remembers mostly her horrific realistic tongue that sticks out in stark terror, creating a silent scream. This is that screen used tongue. It was created, along with most of the other amazingly realistic gruesome body parts, by Special Effects Artist Andrea Le Vine. The tongue comes from her personal collection, and includes a Letter of Provenience from Le Vine. It's made of foam polyurethane. (Approx. 3 1/2" long).
