Authentic U.S.I.D. marked Remington-Keene bolt-action Frontier Model rifle 45-70 cal., 24” barrel, blue finish, wood stock with inspector’s cartouche on the left side of the stock at the wrist; #U.S.I.D. 255 stamped on the left side of the receiver along with “H.N.” inspector stamps on the breech end of the frame and breech end of the barrel (left side) along with “W.W.K.” and “P” proof on the top of the receiver along with an arrowfacing the rear sight. This gun is in overall very good to fine condition showing approx. 40% original blue mixed with a plum colored patina on metal surfaces, fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings, correct sights, verygood + with some scattered mars and scratches from carry and storage; original sling swivels remain; originally from the Gordon Matson award winning collection of Indian Police guns and associated materials.
