Authentic Kentucky Rifle altered to breech loading for blank firing and movie use by Stembridge Arsenal on Paramount Studio lot in Hollywood’s golden age. The rifle can be identified from stills due to the patch box. The rifle measures60” overall with approximately 44” barrel, originally about .45 caliber rifled. This rifle was sold by Little Johns in the Stembridge Arsenal collection as consigned by Robert Petersen and we believe it to be one used in “The FightingKentuckian” starring John Wayne and Oliver Hardy. This rifle appears to be used as a club to hit Wayne in one scene and may be one carried by Oliver Hardy but we could not document absolutely due to fast motion. (Antique) Est.: $1000-$2000
