Austrian flintlock pistol signed Fruwirth in Wien, converted to percussion approx. 1830, fine Turkish style watered barrel with silver and turquoise inlays. Nicely raised carved stock, iron mounts that are lightly engraved. The pistol is approx. .54 caliber smoothbore with a 10-1/4” barrel, 17” overall. The metal surfaces are in good condition with a dark brown patina. The wood is good and fairly crisp other than a crack through thewrist which is very repairable. An original style ramrod is included. There is a maker’s cartouche in the barrel with mideastern writing and this attractive barrel has a decidedly Turkish look. Est: $1,000 - $2,000
