Raised bead front and notch rear sights, with "TRANTER'S/PATENTS" on the loading lever and trigger, ".HH" on the left side of the frame, serial number on the right, and fine borderline and scroll engraving on the frame, barrel, triggerguard, loading lever and butt. Fitted with the distinctive long double action trigger, which cocks the hammer and disengages the drop safety, and a finely checkered grip. In a green felt lined hardwood case with an unmarked inscription disc on the lid, Eley Brothers cap tin, Tranter "Lubricating Bullet" tin, Dixon & Sons powder flask, "L" shaped screwdriver/nipple wrench, single-cavity bullet mold, oiler and an extractor screw.

Condition: Excellent, with 90% of the bright original high polish blue finish overall, showing bright wear along the high edges and a mixed gray and brown patina on the triggerguard. Minor spotting is present, concentrated on the trigger, hammer and loading lever. 80% of the case colors are visible on the cylinder, with some silvering present. Grips are excellent, with sharp checkering. Case is fine, with mild cracks and scuffs on the exterior, and some staining and material loss on the interior. Mechanically excellent.
