Manufactured in 1901 and subsequently custom embellished later in the 20th century by a master engraver. The revolver features floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the barrel, ejector rod housing, frame, cylinder flats, back strap and trigger guard. The top strap has a feather design. There are gold inlaid bands around the muzzle and breech ends of the barrel, bordering around the cylinder flutes and a band around the rear of the cylinder and bordering accents on the frame. The Rampant Colt on the frame is gold. There is a gold relief Indian on the recoil shield and relief buffalo head on top of the back strap. The bottom of the barrel is signed "Engraved by Robert B Burt" in script. Two line, three patent date marking on the left side of the frame and the matching serial number on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap, the markings have been removed. The ejector rod head, cylinder pin and release, hammer, trigger guard and front, and back strap are gold plated and the remaining surfaces are blue. Fitted with two-piece ivory grips with relief carved floral vine design with a punch dot background and silver Colt medallions. Complete with a Colt N.R.A. commemorative case with gold lining and a colt "woodgrain" box missing an end tab and the styrofoam numbered to another gun.
