Manufactured in 1860. The top barrel flat is stamped with the two line Hartford address flanked by dashes as seen on 1849s in the 164,000 to 340,000 serial number range: "ADDRESS SAML COLT/HARTFORD CT." The Hartford address is an uncommon marking on 1849s as the majority have the New York address. The cylinder has the roll-engraved stagecoach holdup scene. Matching numbers on barrel, frame, grip straps, loading lever, cylinder and wedge. The trigger guard is stamped with the letter "B" on the left side. Fitted with a varnished one piece grip. From the P.L. Shumaker (past O.G.E.A business manager) collection, with letter.

Condition: Very fine as factory refinished. The barrel and cylinder retain 95% plus of the blue finish with some scattered patches of brown. There is some extremely light pitting present on the muzzle as well as on the cylinder, uner the blue. The hammer, frame and loading lever retain most of the bright and vivid case colors. The trigger retains most of the niter blue. The grip straps retain 97% of the silver plating. The grip is very fine with a very small chip missing near the bottom right toe and some minor handling marks. Most of the varnish remains. Mechanically excellent. An extremely fine Colt Model 1849!
