Legendary bandleader (and once husband to Lana Turner), Artie Shaw’s famous Buffet Crampon A Paris Clarinet (made in France). This treasured instrument, in perfect condition and in its original case, traveled with Shaw for many years, and used by Shaw both on tour, in concert, and during some of his classic recordings. It was then given to famous actor and comedian Phil Silvers (one of his best friends) who in turn used it in his own act. Comes from Phil Silver’s Estate. Comes with a letter of provenance from Phil Silver's daughter. A true piece of musical legend history. Serial Number #47662. Case approx 15" x 9" x 5". This item has been authenticated and marked with new technology by MovieProps DNA to prevent against fraud and counterfeiting. A panel of industry experts not affiliated with Premiere Props in the movie & TV memorabilia business has authenticated this item.
