Art Deco Tanzanite & VS2 Diamond Platinum Ring
This is a beautiful natural Tanzanite and Diamond Platinum ring in a gorgeous Art Deco styling with paperwork. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The ring is from renowned designer Orianne Collins and is marked, "ORIANNE PT950”. The custom solid Platinum brilliant setting features a cushion modified brilliant cut Tanzanite stone being 3.59 carats in weight with excellent deep blue / purple violet coloring with very fine transparent clarity. The ring shows an impressive Art Deco 1920’s styling and design with a fine estate vintage age being elaborately set with diamonds and supported by a platinum lattice gallery setting with delicate graceful polished band. Overall the ring shows a total of .47 carats of diamonds with a round brilliant very good cut and quality, VS2 to SI1 clarity and F-G color. The ring comes with a GIA Certified laboratory AIGL (American International Gemological Laboratories, INC.) report and appraisal which confirms the above information and gives a current value of $12,600.00. The ring shows a size of 7 US.
