Archive of personal and official letters to Capt. Robert L. Brown beginning Jan. 1, 1899. Capt. Brown supervised the building of Ft. Mackenzie in Sheridan, WY. and was involved in many significant Wyoming historical events around the turn of the Century near Sheridan. Brown was posted to the Quartermaster’s Corps and most letters are hand signed carbon copies by him in regard to his duties at Sheridan that he kept as a detailed ledger and inscribed it on the cover to his children in 1912. A very significant collection of early information for the history of the town of Sheridan and the State of Wyoming. Est.: $1,000-$3,000.
