Antique spear point Bowie knife with stag grip and original scabbard marked William Jackson Sheaf Island works Sheffield and Rio Grande camp knife. The knife measures 12 ½ inches over all with 8 ½ inch blade. Theblade shows sharpening and use and light to moderate pitting and erosion there is some areas of slightly heavy pitting. The grip shows a deep patina and wear from being carried. The markings are visible and clear.The sheath and leather hanger are in good to very good condition and absolutely original to the period of the late 19th century or earlier. The attachment loop would marry to a 2 ½” to 2 2 ¾” wide belt. The Rio Grandemarking is very desirable. Est.: $350-$700
