Antique cane gun marked “E. Mayer” with detachable shoulder stock circa 1870-1890’s, approx 11mm smooth bore measuring 42-3/4” overall with stock attached, gun portion approx 32” and cane portion approx 27-1/2”.The cane area has been finished to match the brown and black painted metal on the frame and remains in very good condition with the stock off a large hand would conceal the works. The mechanism is simple having aspring loaded cocking device released by a pistol type trigger with grip. From an old N.Y. collector’s estate. Est.;$900-$1,800.
