Antique Colt ''New Line 22'' Spurtrigger Pocket Revolver, #21284, .22 RF cal., 2.25'' square-side barrel with integral blade front sight, is marked with the maker's name and address on top, and etched ''Colt New 22'' within an oval panel at left; long-fluted 7-shot round cylinder; solid frame with integral spurtrigger sheath and ''bird's head'' grip straps, is marked ''22 Cal'' at left side; two-piece varnished rosewood grips. Mfg'd ca. 1873-77, originally with full nickel plated finish, blued hammer and trigger. Condition is near excellent. Metal surfaces retain approx. 95% bright original nickel with losses at both frame sides ahead of cylinder and light knackering beneath barrel; hammer shows bright fire-blue with polished sides. Grips are sound and smooth with 95% original varnish. Action is crisp; bore is bright with a couple spots of erosion and sharp rifling; markings are sharp including the barrel etching.
