The wood grips are good. The bluing has been removed. The bore is good. The only markings visible on the gun are N Haven on the top of the barrel, the serial number is on the frame and inside of the wooden grips and they match. The wooden antique gambling box is between poor and fair in condition. It measures 13.5" x 8.5" x 6.5". The box contains a small book of Abraham Lincoln's speeches and addresses and the dates, a military handbook with instructions on the use of sword, carbine and horse, pistol and horse and lance exercises, as well as other military exercises, a piece of paper with an inventory list of enlisted men, officers, horses, mules, wagons and other means of transportation, artillery and more for a Major J Davidson of the Army of Cumberland dated May 1865, antique pencil lead container, a small picture of an unknown soldier, antique reading glasses, a few gun parts, knife and fork, ink jar and pen with extra nibs, screwdriver, knife, cleaning rod, pencil, small oil bottle, small tin wooden match container and a small lock box with key containing 12 very old American coins, an 1878 silver dollar, 1894 half dollar, 1893 quarter, 1865 2-cent coin, 1898 5-cent piece, 1895 penny, 1891 penny, 1892 dime, 1869 dime, 2 more nickels and a dime. There is no key for the box.
Gun has not been test fired or inspected by a gunsmith. Action works correctly to the best of our knowledge. We do not clean guns and recommend a thorough cleaning before use.
