Offered in this lot we have a Anheuser- Bush Brewing lithograph print titled Custer's Last Fight. The original piece was presented to the Seventh Regiment of U.S. Cavalry by the Anheuser- Busch Brewing Association. The painting shows the image of Custer and his Cavalry being overrun by Native Americans. The original painting was done by western artist Cassily Adams in the 1880's. Anheuser- Busch obtained the painting and produced thousands of copies across the nation for advertising and promotional purposes. The front of the piece is marked, reading "Custer's Last Fight Taken - from the Artists Sketches - The Original Painting By Cassily Adams has been presented to - The Seventh Regiment U.S. Cavalry - By Anheuser- Busch Brewing Association, St. Louis, MO. U.S.A.". The painting is set into a glint gold frame with ornate designs across the border. The piece shows good condition overall. The frame measures 44" wide by 36" tall with the painting measuring 39 1/4" wide by 31 1/2" tall. This is a later edition.
