Preface by Lloyd Goodrich, Director of the Whitney Museum of American Art. Published by Art in America, New York City. Andrew Newell Wyeth was one of the best-known American artists of the middle 20th century. He was known as a visual artist, primarily a realist painter. Twelve color plates with original dimensions, ownership and dates. The works were selected by Andrew and Betsy Wyeth from works in the house and studio at Chadds Ford. Prints included are: "May Day", "New Leaves", "Quaker Ladies", "Spring Sun", "Brinton's Hill", "The Corner", "Early October", "Burning Off", "Canvasbacks", "Storing Up", "The Berry Picker", "Teel's Island". All prints are loose (as published) and are protected by a hard cover olive colour linen clothbound portfolio folder. The portfolio folder is in good condition. There may be some light staining or fading on the portfolio folder. Olive colour slipcase in poor condition, evidence of attempted repairs and taping.
