Anderson & Brown Automatic Signal And Alarm. An automatic signal and alarm from inventors Fred A. Anderson and Aaron A. Brown of Rawlins, Wyoming. An accompanying document states that this is patent number 712892, issued November 4, 1902.Essentially, twelve "hammers" are suspended above 12 ports that act as a breech for a blank shotgun shell. When the hammers were set off, the blanks would be shot , however the patent called for a translucent lamp portion to be added to providethe visual effect. That translucent lamp portion is not present with this device. According to the patent, "the alarm will be of both a visual and an audible character". A copy of the patent and a diagram is included. The only marking on thisdevice is the patent date. Est:$400-600
