American swivel breech over/under “Kentucky” rifle, barrels signed JWG, locks marked Connestoga Rifle Works, Brass ovoid patchbox, German silver inlays, nicely natural striped wood stock, double set triggers. The gun is in .45 caliber, with each barrel showing 8-groove deep rifling and matching rifle sights on each barrel. The gun measures 49-1/2” overall with 34-1/8” barrels. The metal surfaces show a grey to brown patina finish. There is some light to slightly heavy pitting and erosion. The barrels are revolved by releasing a lever in front of the triggerguard. The breech plate behind the barrels shows an old period repair. The stock is good to very good with attractive striping, 10 small German silver inlays on left, one small shield inlay on right between lock and patchbox. Provenance Ft. Carson antiques, 1970’s. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
