American percussion dueling/target pistol stamped “C. H. Herbert, Albany” on barren and “Warren Albany” on lock. Approx. .45 caliber smooth bore, 8-1/2” barrel, approx. 14-1/2” overall. Stocked in a reddish colored wood. The shape of the stock is a semi saw-handle, and very American in its appearance. The metal surfaces show a brown patina finish. Some just beginning erosion and pinprick pitting. There is some dings or mars on each side of the barrel from being grasped in a vice. The stock is fair showing breaks and repairs that are not well done, and an over coating of varnish when repaired. There is a gap between the lock and the stock. Small losses of wood around the drum. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
