American percussion dueling/target pistol signed J. V. Trump, Philadelphia. The pistol shows .45 caliber smoothbore, 8-1/2” medium weight octagon barrel, 13-1/2” overall, late back-action lock. The barrel shows a brown patina finish, the lock shows traces of case hardening going to patina. The barrel shows some dings, mars, light erosion and pinprick pitting. The stocks are good with some wear to the checkering, minor compressions, a few dings, dents, minor imperfections. The triggerguard is lightly engraved and shows a crudely engraved pineapple finial. The pistol shows a single-set trigger, German Silver escutcheon around the barrel key, horn forend cap, and an original to the period ramrod is included. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
