American flintlock Kentucky rifle circa early 19th century, made Western Pennsylvania to Ohio, unsigned, .41 caliber, 42” barrel, 57-1/2” overall, full stocked, artificially striped full stock, double set triggers,brass mounts, nice patchbox, two large silver inlays. The rifle shows a brown patina finish, good edges, minor pitting and erosion, firing and normal use. The stock is in very good plus to near fine conditionshowing 75-85% original varnish, some even wear, small losses, just slight normal aging. The wrist shows a silver plaque with the initials “TB”, nicely engraved. The cheekpiece area shows a large oval silverinlay which is nicely border engraved. The patchbox is nicely shaped and shows light border engraving. An old ramrod that has been broken is included. A good looking Kentucky of the type that went west, approx. 1820’s to 30’s.
