American dueling pistol signed Robertson, Phila. on barrel and Robertson on lock. Approx. .50 caliber smoothbore. Medium to slightly heavy weight 9-1/2” octagon barrel, 15” overall, half stocked with checkered wrist, German silver trim, engraved iron trigger guard, with nicely engraved lock and furniture. Gold band a breech. The pistol is equipped with an adjustable set trigger and the pistol remains in good condition showing considerable original brown striping on the barrel. Some dings in the area of the signature, but crisp edges and at least very good. The lock shows all its original parts and has drifted to a grayish brown patina with traces of case hardening. The stock is good to very good with just some minor storage marks from carry and use. The action is good and the pistol is good overall. Robertson was a very well known maker who was well recognized for this style pistol. Equipped with a period oak ramrod. From the William R. Orbelo Collection. Est: $2,000 - $4,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
